The RIDGID 64053 Strutslayr Kit with Shearing Head and 1 5/8″ x 13/16″ Dedicated Die is designed to shear up to 12ga (2.5 mm) mild steel strut channel. The shearing head attaches to RIDGID 32kN standard press tools (sold separately), such as the RP340 and RP330 (it is not suitable for use with 320-E and CT-400 press tools). Using the dedicated dies, the Strutslayr head delivers shop quality, burr-free cuts in 5 seconds or less. There is minimal sparking versus grinders and chop saws – just a clean, consistent cut with a pull of a trigger and single cycle of the press tool. Please note that the strut shear head is not designed for cutting installed strut in place, and it is not suitable for use with stainless steel strut.
