It provides protection against short-circuit, over-current and over-discharge protection as well as cell balancing. It can can deliver more than 250 presses per charge (0.5″ Cu) when used with press tools. The battery is fully charged in 39 minutes maximum.
The included RBC 30 120V Battery Charger is designed for use with 18V lithium-ion batteries. The charger can fully charge an 18V 2.5 Ah battery in 39 minutes maximum, while the maximum charge time for an 18V Lithium 5.0 Ah battery (sold separately) is 82 minutes. The charger features a passive convection cooling (no fan) design to prevent over-heating, while built-in LEDs indicate battery charge status and temperature monitoring. The charger requires no adjustments.
